ET's got a first look at Valerie Bertinelli's new photo shoot and interview with Prevention magazine in which the star reveals how she's keeping her sexy shape and talks about turning the big 5-0.

Valerie tells the new issue of Prevention -- on stands August 3 -- that she thinks being sexy means accepting who you truly are and the way your body is. However, she jokes that putting on sexy underwear can't hurt either.

On her sex life with fiancé Tom Vitale, Valerie says: "It was pretty good even when I was big. Tom likes me at any size. I'm lucky that way."
