Update: Actor Randy Quaid and Wife Out of Jail

Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have been released from a Texas jail following their arrest for allegedly not paying a California hotel bill in excess of $10,000.

Quaid and his wife each posted $20,000 bail on Thursday after being locked in jail for several hours, says the Associated Press -- and Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez tells the news agency that he drove the couple to a bank to acquire the bail money.

The couple was taken into police custody on Thursday afternoon. "We're told a struggle ensued with Evi Quaid, but she was quickly restrained," a spokesman for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department tells ET.
