Tragic Mid-Air Collision Over the Hudson River

A small airplane crashed into a tour helicopter over the Hudson River on Saturday, and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says it appears the tragedy was "not survivable."

The Associated Press reports that around noon, the two aircrafts collided and then plummeted into the water. There were three people aboard the plane, including one child, and five Italian tourists and a pilot aboard the helicopter.

Two bodies have been found in the water by emergency personnel, Bloomberg said during a press conference.
