Redmond O’Neal to Go Directly from Jail to Rehab

Redmond O'Neal pleaded no contest to felony drug possession today, according to the Santa Clarita District Attorney's Office, and will be transported from county jail to a California drug treatment facility.

The D.A. says that the son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett pleaded to possession of an illegal substance in a jail facility and admitted the allegation that he committed the offense while out on bail.

Redmond was sentenced by a Santa Clarita Superior Court Judge to a minimum of one year in a residential drug treatment program in California along with a six-year suspended state prison term and three years of formal probation.
