Psychiatrist Testifies Anna Nicole Smith was an ‘Addict’

Anna Nicole Smith's former psychiatrist says the late actress fit the legal definition of an addict, according to a new report.

The Associated Press reports that Dr. Nathalie Maullin testified Tuesday that Smith fit the definition, but that the words "addict" or "addiction" were never used in discussing Smith's problems with her, her former boyfriend Howard K. Stern and her former doctor Sandeep Kapoor.

Maullin treated Smith for an apparent withdrawal from pain and anti-anxiety medication, the AP reports. She also testified that Smith had legitimate issues with pain.
