Peter, Paul & Mary Singer Passes Away
Mary Travers of the famous 1960s folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary has passed away, the band’s publicist tells the Associated Press. She was 72.
According to the group's publicist, Travers died at a Connecticut hospital on Wednesday. She had suffered from leukemia for a number of years.
Peter, Paul and Mary were known for their rendition of "If I Had a Hammer," as well as songs such as "Lemon Tree," "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and "Puff (The Magic Dragon).”
