Mel Gibson Investigated for Assault With a Deadly Weapon

The Los Angeles County Sheriff confirms that it is now investigating Mel Gibson on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.  

The Sheriff's Department previously confirmed that it is already investigating the star for a possible domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Oksana Grigorieva.

News of the police investigations of Gibson comes in the wake of a series of audio recordings made public in which the movie star angrily rants at Grigorieva.
