Matt Damon Awarded for Career ‘Supremacy’
Jimmy Kimmel ends his show each weeknight with the line, "My apologies to Matt Damon. We ran out of time." He, along with a guest list of tip-top celebs, made plenty of time for Damon on Saturday. An entire evening was dedicated to the actor as he received the 24th American Cinematheque Award from pal Ben Affleck.
Kidding aside, the late-night talk show host said, "This is a tribute to Matt for his…years of achievement." Kimmel's ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman was trailing just a few steps behind her former beau on the red carpet. She famously made a video with Damon a few years back that went viral.
"Just as a fan I can tell you that he is incredibly talented," said the comedienne. "As someone who got to work with him for about four hours, I can tell you that he is lovely and professional and kind and funny and affable. That's quite a combination."
