Matt Damon and More ‘Ante Up for Africa’
Matt Damon celebrated the fourth of July weekend in part by participating in the Ante up for Africa charity poker tournament as part of the 41st Annual World Series of Poker held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on Saturday in Las Vegas, hosted by his 'Ocean's Eleven' pal Don Cheadle and professional poker player Annie Duke.
"A lot of times you hear about problems with no solutions and I think what Americans tend to respond to are practical solutions to problems. 'Ante Up for Africa' has been able to really direct their money toward some really good projects and advocacy work," Damon said of the event.
"These players, through their generosity, have donated the funds that are building the school for these kids now, so they're not just wasting away in camps with nothing to do," Cheadle explained.
