Lindsay Lohan Denies Addictions, Blames Father for ‘Trauma’

Lindsay Lohan is Vanity Fair's October cover girl, opening up to the magazine about her alcohol use and her history with her father, Michael Lohan. She candidly spoke to the mag prior to serving two weeks of her 90-day jail sentence and her in-patient residency in rehab.

Alcohol and drug abuse accusations were tackled, to which Lindsay denied being addicted to either. "If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am, then putting a [SCRAM] bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I'm taking and my father says I'm taking…"

She blamed her immaturity in her teenage years for "dabbling in certain things" when she had newly gained her independence and wealth in Los Angeles. However, she disputed accusations of being dependent on prescription drugs, maintaining, "I've never abused prescription drugs. I never have--never in my life. I have no desire to."
