John Travolta’s Lawyer Testifies in Extortion Case
An attorney for John Travolta testified in court on Thursday that earlier this year he cautioned one of the two defendants not to go through with the alleged extortion attempt against the star.
Attorney Michael McDermott took the stand and attested that he told defendant Pleasant Bridgewater, a former Bahamas senator, over the phone on January 12 that she was committing a crime, says the Associated Press.
"I then told her: 'You are playing a very dangerous game, lady. I do not assent to your demands. I will go to the police,’” he said.
