George Clooney Addresses Rumors of Split from Elisabetta Canalis

Actor George Clooney is speaking out against reports that he has broken up with Italian actress and TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis.

Clooney reacted to the tabloid reports, saying, "Once again the story is made up, spread to other outlets and now denied. But don't let facts get in the way of a good story."

Clooney and Canalis were the couple to watch on the red carpet this awards season. It was announced in March that Canalis, 31, will be appearing on five episodes of the TNT drama "Leverage." Meanwhile, Clooney's new film, 'The American,' is set to hit theaters September 1.
