Erin Andrews Sues Stalker and Hotels
Former "Dancing with the Stars" hopeful Erin Andrews sued her peeping-tom stalker Michael David Barrett and seven hotels on Thursday.
Andrews sued the hotels for negligence and invasion of privacy, says the Associated Press. The ESPN reporter is seeking more than $1.2 million from the hotels and Barrett for "severe and permanent emotional distress," the news agency reports.
Last March, 49-year-old Barrett was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for secretly videotaping Andrews in hotel rooms and posting nude videos of her on the Internet. He also pleaded guilty to interstate stalking back in December.
