Divorce Finalized for Jon and Kate Gosselin

In stark contrast to a statement made by Jon Gosselin's attorney yesterday -- saying the couple would remain legally married through the new year -- a Pennsylvania judge has signed their divorce petition, making their split legit.

The judge signed the final papers early Friday morning, making Jon and Kate Gosselin's divorce official. The estranged reality couple separated this past summer and filed for divorce on June 22, 2009.

Jon and Kate have stated over the past several months that they will not move their eight children from their Pennsylvania home. Both parents said they will move back and forth into the residence to accommodate a joint custody agreement.
