Dick Cheney Test Results Reveal ‘Evidence of a Mild Heart Attack’

Tests performed on former Vice President Dick Cheney reportedly revealed evidence that he suffered a mild heart attack.

The Associated Press reports that Peter Long, an aide to Cheney, says the 69-year-old had a stress test and underwent a heart procedure. Cheney was admitted to a Washington hospital Monday due to chest pains.

Long also tells the AP that George Washington University performed tests and found "evidence of a mild heart attack," adding that Cheney is expected to be released from the hospital by the end of the week.
