‘Desperate Housewives’ Lawsuit Moves Forward
The judge presiding over former "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit against series creator Marc Cherry and ABC may have made a decision benefiting the actress.
Reuters reports that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Allen White rejected ABC's complaint that one of the causes of action mentioned in the suit is nebulous. The network attempted to get one of the accusations thrown out because it involves three claims: discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation and age.
In response, Judge White wrote in a tentative order: "Although annoying, inconvenient and inconsiderate, the failure to separate the three distinct wrongs does not result in an inability to understand what is alleged."
