California Medical Board Restricts Michael Jackson’s Ex Doctor from Prescribing Sedatives
The California Medical Board is temporarily not allowing Michael Jackson's former physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, to administer or prescribe sedatives, reinforcing what a judge ruled earlier this month.
The change to Murray's medical license officially took effect on Feb. 8, following a judge's order that Murray not handle any anesthetic, namely Propofol, the powerful drug that the coroner said killed Jackson, reports the Associated Press.
Murray, who has since returned to work in Las Vegas, has pleaded not guilty to involuntarily manslaughter charges tied to the King of Pop's death. The AP says the medical board intends to seek the suspension of his license.
