Bryant Gumbel Reveals Cancer Battle

Bryant Gumbel announced his battle with lung cancer on Tuesday.

While co-hosting "Live! with Regis and Kelly" on Tuesday morning, the veteran news man revealed that he had a secret surgery to remove a malignant tumor in his chest and part of his lung.

"We had told a few people, we told my family, obviously," he said. "I even kept it from my staff at 'Real Sports.' So I'm okay for the time being."
