Ann-Margret to Receive Desert AIDS Project Award
Legendary star Ann-Margret will receive the 2010 "Arts & Activism" award from the Desert AIDS Project next Thursday.
Jim Casey, co-chair and presenting sponsor of the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, and David Brinkman, Executive Director of Desert AIDS Project, will present the award to the Golden Globe winner who first found fame starring opposite Elvis Presley.
Bad weather conditions and a busy filming schedule prevented Ann-Margret from attending the awards ceremony on February 27, but she will visit and tour Desert AIDS Project campus, meet the Desert AIDS team and patients and personally accept the award.
