‘Golden Girl’ Rue McClanahan Dies

Rue McClanahan has died at 76. The beloved "Golden Girls" star suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on Monday and passed away Thursday morning at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Hospital: Gary Coleman Granted Ex-Wife Permission to Make Medical Decisions

A rep for Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, the hospital where former child star Gary Coleman died last week, tells ET that his ex-wife Shannon Price had been granted authority to make medical decisions for Coleman. The hospital tells ET: "Mr. Coleman had completed an Advanced Health Care Directive that granted Shannon Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf if he was unable to do so. An Advanced Health Care Directive remains in effect regardless of a patient's marital status, unless modified by the patient. It is a private medical document which the hospital does not have permission to release. However, we received permission to confirm that the document was in effect at the time of Mr. Coleman's death." Exclusive: Gary Coleman Divorced at Time of Death

Entertainment Tonight has exclusively obtained court papers confirming that Gary Coleman was actually divorced at the time of his death. Gary and Shannon Price were legally divorced on August 12, 2008. Gary filed for divorce from Shannon under sealed divorce documents that referred to the parties as "John Doe" and "Jane Doe." All court fees were paid for by Gary. No alimony was awarded, however, property was awarded to Gary under the decree. When ET contacted the hospital where Gary passed away, a spokesperson told us, "We had no indication that the information Shannon gave us was false. She portrayed herself as his wife." Read More »

Audio: 911 Call Made by Gary Coleman’s ‘Wife’

ET has obtained the 911 call made by Shannon Price moments before Gary Coleman was rushed to a Utah hospital on Wednesday, May 26. Price explains that she had Coleman go downstairs to make her some food because she wasn't feeling well and then she heard a "big bang." She tells the 911 dispatcher, "I don't know if he's okay. I'm not going to go down there. I have seizures. If I go down there, I'm going to seize." However, Price does tell the operator that blood is everywhere and that Coleman is "bubbling at the mouth." Price says, "I've just been kind of sick and I just don't want to be traumatized right now. ... I can't really help him. I can't be here with the blood." Read More »

Victoria Principal Donates Money to Gulf Drilling Disaster

With the oil spill in the Gulf not getting any better, actress Victoria Principal has generously decided to donate money towards putting an end to the disaster. The "Dallas" alum is making six-figure donations to both Oceana and the Natural Resource Defense Council. "Because the Gulf Coast oil spill is the largest man-made environmental disaster our country has ever experienced, I felt that it would be impossible for any one organization to address the enormity of the problem," said Principal. "By providing the funds to both Oceana and NRDC, it allows these two extraordinary non profits, to move away from competition and fundraising and to instead, marshal and focus their joint efforts around this monumental undertaking of problem solving and action.
