Cher, Michael Douglas & More Pay Tribute to Director Mike Nichols

ET's Mark Steines joined a host of A-listers including Cher, Michael Douglas and Harrison Ford as the American Film Institute honored Oscar-winning director Mike Nichols with its annual Life Achievement Award in L.A. on Thursday night. Cher said Nichols gave her some unforgettable advice on the set of 1983's 'Silkwood': "He said you have to risk looking like an ass. You have to put it all out there because you never can be great unless you’re prepared to look stupid… He was so wonderful to me." Douglas, last year's AFI Life Achievement Award recipient, joked: "The American Film Institute in particular, when you look at the roster of people you're surrounded with, obviously they set the bar kind of low last year." David Carradine’s Ex-Wife: ‘Something Went Incredibly Wrong’

June 3 marked the one-year anniversary of actor David Carradine's mysterious death, and his ex-wife Marina Anderson tells ET, "I believe there was definitely foul play." The 72-year-old 'Kill Bill' and "Kung Fu" star died in a Bangkok hotel room, allegedly due to autoerotic asphyxiation, and Marina says that she felt compelled to investigate the mysterious circumstances of his death herself. "I was angry," she says. Marina says she obtained one of Carradine's autopsy pictures, and explains, "There were certain things on there that I thought, 'Well, you can't have marks around your neck by just doing an autoerotic or sexual asphyxiation.' Missing Teen Sailor Found Safe

Abby Sunderland, the 16-year-old girl from California who was sailing solo around the world when a storm knocked out her satellite phone gear early Thursday, has been found alive and well. A search party aboard a jet spotted Abby’s boat in the Indian Ocean late Thursday and made contact with her by radio, family spokesman William Bennett tells the Associated Press. "Abby's in an okay condition; the yacht's damaged but it’s seaworthy," Bennett says. "She's aware that there are other boats on the way to her location." Read More »

Shannon Price’s Agent: ‘I Have Seen Her Pain’

Shannon Price's agent is speaking out in reaction to a statement alleging that there has been foul play in the Gary Coleman saga, telling ET exclusively, "I have seen her pain." Gary's former manager Dion Mial -- who was appointed executor of his estate in his 1999 will -- released a statement regarding events surrounding the former "Diff'rent Strokes" star's passing, saying, "I wholeheartedly believe there was foul play, here. … There has been absolutely nothing covert about [Shannon's] behavior and how sadly she has handled this situation. In fact, she's shamelessly brazen and coldly matter-of-fact about this precious life that we've lost." John Walsh on Joran van der Sloot’s Case: I Hope They Push for Death

ET sits down with "America's Most Wanted"'s John Walsh about the recent arrest of Joran van der Sloot related to the death of a woman in Peru. "America's Most Wanted," which airs Saturday nights on FOX and has its own website, has extensively covered van der Sloot and his connection to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba since 2005. Walsh tells ET he believes that van der Sloot has reportedly confessed to the murder of Stephany Flores in Peru for the hopes of leniency with regard to the death penalty. ET has learned that an autopsy on the late Gary Coleman has been competed. Santaquin, UT Police confirm that the autopsy was performed, but they are still waiting for a cause of death to be determined. Coleman has still not been laid to rest following his May 28 death. Read More »

Police: Foul Play Not Suspected in Gary Coleman Death

Santaquin, Utah police tell ET that they do not suspect foul play in the death of former child star Gary Coleman. A police spokesperson says that they do not suspect foul play, however, the police are still investigating his death.
