The attorney for Lindsay Lohan is speaking out against the judge's decision to send the actress to jail for 90 days and rehab for an additional 90 days.
In a statement to ET, attorney Shawn Chapman Holley says: "Ms. Lohan and I are extremely disappointed in the sentence handed down by Judge [Marsha N.] Revel. We believe that the penalty is far harsher than what others would have received under similar circumstances. The reality is that Ms. Lohan, like most defendants, had to balance work commitments with court requirements. To be punished so severely for doing so, particularly in light of the fact that she substantially complied with each of her probationary conditions, is harsh and unfair. That said, Ms. Lohan is prepared to serve her jail time and to comply with the Court's orders."
Addressing the swear word scrawled on her clients fingernail, she added, "With respect to Ms. Lohan's ...

A new report from the California attorney general's office alleges that state parole agents interacted with Jaycee Dugard and her older daughter while they were allegedly being held captive by Phillip Garrido, but the agents "failed to investigate their identities or their relationship to Garrido."
The report was sent to lawmakers before they voted last week to settle with the Dugard family for $20 million, says the Associated Press.
Dugard and her daughters -- allegedly fathered by Garrido -- claimed they might have been rescued sooner if parole agents had followed up on potential leads presented to them, says the AP. They also claim the agents didn't properly supervise Garrido beginning in 1999.
