'The Terminator' himself, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, jokingly compared Mel Gibson to the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. The Associated Press says Schwarzenegger told a group of utility commissioners in Sacramento that although BP seems to have stopped the flow of oil leaking from its underwater well, “no one has figured out how to contain Mel Gibson.” Schwarzenegger also asked his audience to shut off their cell phones “because we are expecting a call from him.”

The late Brittany Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy, is speaking out about the preliminary autopsy findings regarding her son-in-law Simon Monjack, who died of pneumonia last May "just like Brittany," a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner said.
"I am still in shock and mourning over the deaths of my daughter Brittany and son-in-law Simon," Sharon said. "It is with great relief that Simon’s preliminary autopsy findings have been released, so the media speculations can stop… As I was sure of, just like my daughter Brittany, there was no kind of drug overdose."
Prescription drugs were found in Monjack's system, the Los Angeles coroner's spokesman told CNN, but not in lethal levels.

A rep for the Los Angeles County coroner says Simon Monjack and his actress wife Brittany Murphy both died of pneumonia.
Monjack's death in May was caused by acute pneumonia and severe anemia, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter tells CNN. "Just like Brittany," he added.
Prescription drugs were also found in Monjack's system, Winter said, but not in lethal levels.

A rep for Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is reacting to the news that she is under investigation for extortion. "To specifically address the allegations, my client, Ms. Grigorieva, has repeatedly stated that there is no credible evidence whatsoever of extortion by her, and she stands steadfastly by that statement," Grigorieva's rep Stephen Jaffe tells ET. Earlier Wednesday, The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that it is investigating extortion allegations against Grigorieva. Jaffe previously told ET that audio tapes of what is purported to be an enraged Gibson were not edited or altered.

Despite his personal challenges, Tiger Woods still managed to top Forbes magazine's list of the World's Most Valuable Teams and Athletes. The golf pro earned $105 million from June 2009 to June 2010, putting him in first place on the list. Coming in second is boxer Floyd Mayweather who earned $65 million, while Los Angeles Lakers champ Kobe Bryant came in at No. 3 with $48 million. Soccer stud David Beckham comes in at No. 5 on the list having earned $43.7 million. Other athletes to make the list include new Miami Heat player Lebron James ($42.8 million), newlywed NBA star Carmelo Anthony ($23.8 million), soccer star and Calvin Klein model Cristiano Ronaldo ($35.8 million) and cyclist Lance Armstrong ($21 million).

The former "Married with Children" star is expecting a child with fiancé and bass player Martyn Lenoble, ET confirms.
Applegate, 38, and Lenoble, 41, got engaged on Valentine's Day of this year after dating for two years. A rep for Applegate told ET, "This will be the second marriage for both. There is no set date for the wedding at this time."

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that they are investigating extortion allegations against Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend and mother to his child Oksana Grigorieva.
A rep for Grigorieva told ET last week that she did not release explosive audio tapes that feature Gibson sounding off in expletive-laden tirades directed at Grigorieva to Radar Online. Steve Jaffe, who represents Grigorieva, said that the tapes were not edited, calling the reports that suggest they were edited "ridiculous."
Gibson is also under investigation for suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon. The headline-grabbing audio tapes will be reviewed by forensic detectives.
