In a new lawsuit obtained by ET, a woman who says she was a flight attendant on Oprah's private jet alleges she was fired after two of her co-workers claimed she’d engaged in "inappropriate intimate conduct" during a flight. Corrine Gehrls alleges in the lawsuit that two other members of the flight crew -- one of whom she claims is the daughter of Gayle King -- falsely told Oprah and her production company Harpo, Inc. that Gehrls and the jet’s chief pilot “had been observed having inappropriate intimate conduct outside the cockpit of the plane” during a flight in June. Gehrls claims the allegation led to her and the pilot's firings. She is suing Harpo and the two flight crew members for $75,000 in damages.

Jimmy Carter was honored in 2002, well after his departure from the Oval Office in 1981. The committee took particular note of Obama's "vision of a world free from nuclear arms."

A Bahamas police officer testified on Thursday that a defendant in the John Travolta extortion trial burned a key document with the actor’s signature on it. The Associated Press says the officer told the court that former Bahamian Senator Pleasant Bridgewater, one of two defendants accused of trying to extort $25 million from Travolta, admitted to police on the day she was arrested that she burned a form linked to the medical treatment of the star’s late teenage son; Jett Travolta, 16, died on Jan. 2 following a seizure while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas. The document would have freed the ambulance driver from liability if Jett had been flown back to the U.S. for medical care, as his father initially wanted, says the AP.
