ET has the latest...
Emmy winner Ray Romano hosted the International Myeloma Foundation's 3rd Annual Comedy Celebration for the Peter Boyle Memorial Fund, where the "Everybody Loves Raymond" alum spoke about paying tribute to his late co-star.
"It's great to honor Peter this way and to spend time with the cast members and his family," Romano said. "Fans all know him as this curmudgeon, this ornery old man, but Peter was just the opposite. He was a sweet man who took me under his wing. It's emotional to come here and remember him this way."
The Annual Comedy Celebration raises money to find a cure for myeloma, the blood cancer Boyle passed away from in 2006. The International Myeloma Foundation works towards improving the quality of life of people suffering from the disease and the Peter Boyle Memorial Fund supports the IMF's life-saving research.
