ET spoke with John Travolta at Australia Week's LA Black Tie Dinner, where he told us his plans to help Haiti.
"I have arranged for a plane to take down some volunteer ministers and some supplies and some medics," John says. "My church has also arranged for 80 medics and 33 volunteers to go down [this week]."
"I hope that inspires others as well," he adds. "It's needed."

Brittany Murphy's mother Sharon and husband Simon Monjack are speaking out about what they believe caused their loved one’s death.
Sharon Murphy tells People.com that she and Monjack think the late actress' death stemmed from a congenital heart murmur. They tell the site that Brittany was diagnosed with the condition in her teens and had received sufficient medical care for it since.
"We had it checked out every which way you could imagine," Monjack says.

Sandra Bullock says she's donated $1 million to a medical humanitarian organization that's been providing vital assistance to earthquake victims in Haiti.
Bullock donated the generous sum to Doctors Without Borders’ emergency operations in Port-Au-Prince, says the Associated Press.
"I wanted to ensure that my donation would be used immediately to meet the needs of the Haitian people affected by this catastrophic event," Bullock said.

A prosecutor has reportedly filed legal papers documenting his opposition to Roman Polanski's request to be sentenced from afar related to a 32-year-old sex case. The Associated Press reports that Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said Friday that the film director, who is on house arrest in Switzerland, is a "convicted child rapist" and a fugitive who should not dictate how the case should proceed in the courts. The filing comes on the heels of Polanski's recent request to a Los Angeles judge to be sentenced in absentia without having to return to the United States.

Tiger Woods is reportedly planning to help earthquake victims in Haiti. The Associated Press reports that Woods plans to lend his help to the relief efforts. Tiger Woods Foundation president Greg McLaughlin tells the AP that Woods' staff is looking into what the best way to help victims would be, but acknowledges that helping the youth would be in line with Woods' prior efforts to help victims of Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 tsunami.
