‘Hope for Haiti Now’ Telethon Sets New Record for Funds Raised

George Clooney's star-studded, global benefit Friday night is already setting new records. "Hope for Haiti Now" announced that it has raised more than $58 million to date, surpassing Hurricane Katrina telethons and public donations. The preliminary figure includes donations made via phone, online, and mobile – what the figure doesn’t include are sums donated by corporations and large private donors, or iTunes sales figures, which are still being calculated. "The public has set a new standard of giving for a relief telethon with 'Hope for Haiti Now,' and the donations continue to come in -- people can still contribute 24/7 via phone, web and text," said Lisa Paulsen, President & CEO of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing philanthropic support to "Hope for Haiti Now." Andy Dick Arrested on Suspicion of Sexual Abuse

No laughing matter: The mugshot seen above was taken after Andy Dick was arrested in West Virginia on Saturday morning. The 44-year-old comedian has been charged with two counts of felony sexual abuse in the first degree. He was arraigned this afternoon. Dick allegedly grabbed a bouncer's crotch at a bar in Huntington, W. Va. early Saturday morning, says the Associated Press. He was in town to perform at a local comedy club, the Funny Bone, and the club's managing partner Tom Schaefer has posted his $60,000 bail amount. Read More »

Major stars from the entertainment world and political realm united Friday night on George Clooney's "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon, raising funds toward the Haiti relief effort through emotionally charged songs, spoken-word testimonials and answering phones. Judge Orders Roman Polanski’s Return to the U.S.

A Los Angeles judge has reportedly ordered Roman Polanski to return to the United States for sentencing related to a 32-year-old sex case. The Associated Press reports that the director has been ordered to return to the U.S. from Switzerland, and is not permitted to be sentenced in absentia (while not present). Ambulances Called to Studio Lot

Two ambulances arrived with lights and sirens engaged at the television studio facility where George Clooney's star-studded telethon, "Hope for Haiti Now," is being broadcast live in a few short hours. Sources tell ET that a stretcher was brought into a building in the complex. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirms that at 1:50 p.m. they received a 911 call and dispatched rescue personnel. One person was transported to a local hospital. Shows including "The Price is Right," "Dancing with the Stars," and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" are filmed on the same lot. Read More »

Brooke Mueller’s Dad Gives Details on Her Condition

ET has the latest... John Fiore, the father of Charlie Sheen's wife Brooke Mueller, tells ET how his daughter is doing now after going through a "life threatening period of time." Bristol Palin -- the daughter of former V.P. candidate Sarah Palin -- has filed court papers asking the father of her child, Levi Johnston, to pay child support after making media rounds and posing nude for Playgirl. Bristol claims she has received "limited and sporadic financial assistance" in the 13 months since their son was born. While some tabloid headlines are proclaiming Levi is a "deadbeat dad," Bristol states that he has given over $4,000 to her so far.
