Chile Earthquake Dominates TV News Networks

A deadly 8.8-magnitude earthquake shook Chile early Saturday morning, spawning a tsunami that reportedly poses a threat to Hawaii and much of the Pacific Rim, and the cable news networks are providing extended coverage. FOX News is calling the earthquake the most powerful to hit Chile in 50 years, and CNN meteorologist Chad Meyers estimates that the quake contained "somewhere between 800 and 900 times the shaking power" of the natural disaster that struck Haiti last month. More than 120 people in Chile are dead in the earthquake's aftermath, and the number of fatalities is "quickly rising," says the Associated Press. Massive Earthquake Devastates Chile

A deadly 8.8-magnitude earthquake shook Chile early Saturday morning and triggered a tsunami that reportedly poses a threat to Hawaii and a number of other Pacific islands. Jim Carrey Becomes a Grandfather!

Jim Carrey's daughter Jane Carrey gave birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles on Friday. ET confirms that singer/songwriter Jane, 22, and her musician hubby Alex Santana welcomed Jackson Riley Santana at 12:28 a.m. this morning. Madame Tussauds Unveils ‘Hollywood Awards Exhibit’

With just days left until the Academy Awards invade the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Blvd., Madame Tussauds Hollywood (just two doors over) has unveiled a special exhibit celebrating Hollywood awards -- featuring the wax figures of 40 Oscar-winning stars! SeaWorld Trainer on Fellow Trainer’s Death

With killer whales in the background, SeaWorld trainer Chuck Tompkins goes on the record with ET about the tragic death of his colleague, Dawn Brancheau. Brancheau, 40, passed away earlier this week after a killer whale attacked her with SeaWorld visitors looking on. "I'm deeply sorry about anybody who was there who had to see and witness what went on. Our obvious goal is to provide education, entertainment and have people come to be inspired and we didn't do it that day. We failed. Gatorade Rep: We No Longer See a Role for Tiger Woods in our Marketing Efforts

A rep for Gatorade is telling ET about the beverage line cutting ties with Tiger Woods. "We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship," a Gatorade spokesperson told ET. "However, our partnership with the Tiger Woods Foundation will continue. We wish him all the best." The PepsiCo beverage line is the third company, following AT&T and Accenture, to drop Woods completely since his personal life made headlines following a car accident last November and news of his marital infidelity. The Shamu Show Will Resume on Saturday

In a press conference held today at SeaWorld, it was announced that just days after trainer Dawn Brancheau was killed while working with one of the orca whales, the Shamu show would begin again. Plus, Brancheau's family is speaking out about their loss. “We will resume our performances on Saturday but our trainers will not enter the water,” SeaWorld president and CEO Jim Atchison said, adding, “It’s indefinite how long it will be before people get back into water. It’s a judgment call.” Atchison said changes will be made to the show, but he’s uncertain what they will be yet.
