ET breaks news about the cause of actress Dixie Carter's death.
Best known for her role as Julia Sugarbaker on the hit sitcom "Designing Women," the actress passed away from complications arising from endometrial cancer, a common type of uterine cancer.
Carter died on Saturday, April 10 at the age of 70. In addition to Hal Holbrook, her husband of nearly 26 years, the actress is survived by her two daughters Mary Dixie and Ginna.

A number of personal things from entertainment icon Marilyn Monroe are going up for auction, including items from the estate of her analyst, Dr. Ralph Greenson.
On June 26 and 27 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Julien’s Auctions will offer items from Monroe's personal and professional life that will include: X-Ray’s of Monroe’s chest from Cedars of Lebanon Hospital from her doctors visit on November 10th, 1954, the chair used by the icon in her final photo shoot, David Conover negatives and copyrights to Monroe photographs, previously unreleased photographs of Monroe on her honeymoon with Joe DiMaggio -- including their visit to see the troops in Korea -- and Marilyn’s personal bottle of Chanel No. 5.
Meanwhile, Dr. Greenson is auctioning off his therapy couch from his Beverly Hills home office where Monroe would lie during their meetings, Pucci clothing gifted to his daughter and handwritten notes ...

Phil Mickelson won his third Masters title on Sunday, April 11, but Tiger Woods wasn't too far behind, placing fourth in the tournament.
Woods' Web site reflected on the pro player's placement in the Masters Tournament with a post that read: "A rough start doomed his chances, but Tiger excited the crowd with two more eagles in the final round Sunday, completing the Masters in a tie for fourth at 11-under 277."
The Masters Tournament marked Woods' return to golf following his
peculiar car accident in November, 2009. He told reporters at a press
conference during the Masters, "It's not about the championships; it's
about how you live your life. ... Going forward, I need to be a better
man."

After taking to his Twitter regarding Tiger Woods' affairs, saying, "No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity," Jim Carrey is now clarifying his remarks.
"I want 2 make it CLEAR that I do not condone infidelity at all, but 2 some degree the responsibility 4 it is shared by both people," the actor says in his latest tweet.
On Friday, the star tweeted: "No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity. Elin had [to be] a willing participant on the ride [for] whatever reason."

Jim Carrey is tweeting more of his candid thoughts about the Tiger Woods sex scandal, one day after suggesting that Woods' wife Elin Nordegren must have known the golf great was having affairs.
"Tiger was wrong and Elin was ignoring the obvious," Carrey tweeted Saturday morning, responding to a fellow Twitter user who'd commented on his post from the previous day.

World leaders and officials including President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Queen Elizabeth II are offering their condolences in the wake of the tragedy that claimed the lives of Polish President Lech Kaczynski, First Lady Maria Kaczynski and reportedly more than 90 others on Saturday.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kaczynski family, the loved ones of those killed in this tragic plane crash, and the Polish nation," President Obama said, according to the Associated Press.
Kaczynski, his first lady wife, and 95 other individuals, including some of Poland's most distinguished military and civilian leaders, died Saturday when the presidential plane crashed while trying to land in thick fog in Russia, says the AP. There were no survivors.
