George Clooney Addresses Rumors of Split from Elisabetta Canalis

Actor George Clooney is speaking out against reports that he has broken up with Italian actress and TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis. Clooney reacted to the tabloid reports, saying, "Once again the story is made up, spread to other outlets and now denied. But don't let facts get in the way of a good story." Clooney and Canalis were the couple to watch on the red carpet this awards season. It was announced in March that Canalis, 31, will be appearing on five episodes of the TNT drama "Leverage." Corey Haim Reportedly Obtained 550 Pills Illegally

According to the California attorney general, the late Corey Haim had acquired over 550 prescription pills illegally within the three months preceding his death. Attorney Jerry Brown says the former child star obtained the pills through seven different doctors, the Associated Press reports. Brown told the AP that the doctors who prescribed the medication, which included Valium and Soma, were questioned by investigators and appeared to have been tricked into writing the prescriptions. Haim, known for his roles in 'Lost Boys' and 'License to Drive,' passed away in his mother's California apartment early last month. He was 38. Read More »

Dogs Celebrate Passover with a Feast

More than 50 pooches gathered at an L.A. hotel last Wednesday for a dinner commemorating the Jewish holiday of Passover, and there was plenty of kosher dog food to go around. The canines scarfed down delicacies such as Evanger's dog food and Wagatha's Dog Biscuits at the 1st Annual Passover Seder for Dogs, a non-denominational affair hosted by the online mag Dog News Daily at the Hotel Palomar. The festive evening included an adoption drive for dogs from the Best Friends Animal Society and Los Angeles Animal Services, as well as a silent auction. Read More »

Nicollette Sheridan Sues ‘Desperate Housewives’ Creator for Alleged Violence Against Her

Nicollette Sheridan has filed a lawsuit against "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry, claiming he struck her across the head and face while on the set of the hit ABC show. ET has obtained court documents in which Sheridan claims that once she reported the alleged incident to ABC, Cherry arranged for her to be terminated from the show. Sheridan is suing for wrongful termination, and assault and battery, among other claims. In the papers, Sheridan claims, "From the inception of the show, Cherry created a hostile work environment for the cast, crew and writers who work on the show, and Sheridan in particular." Oprah Winfrey has landed John Edwards' former mistress Rielle Hunter's first TV interview. There is no word on when the sitdown might take place, or when it will air. Hunter has been in the news ever since Edwards confessed in 2008 that he had carried on an affair with the woman, and denied and then later confirmed that he had fathered her young daughter, Frances Quinn. Jackson Family Attends Dr. Conrad Murray Court Hearing; New Judge Named in Case

Amid a flurry of devoted Michael Jackson fans chanting and carrying signs, members of the Jackson family made their way into a Los Angeles courthouse Monday to attend a court hearing for Dr. Conrad Murray, who has been charged with involuntary manslaughter related to the death of the King of Pop. The late pop icon's family members -- Janet Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Katherine Jackson, among others -- attended Monday's hearing, where Jackson's former physician appeared. A somber Murray appeared before judge Peter Espinoza wearing a black suit and yellow tie. The embattled doctor has denied any wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the June 25, 2009 death of Jackson. Read More »
