A dismissal motion, filed by the victim in a decades-long sex case involving Roman Polanski, has reportedly been denied. The Associated Press reports that a California appeals court denied the petition Thursday, after Samantha Geimer tried to dismiss the criminal case against the film director. In March, attorneys for Polanski filed an appeal and were seeking investigation into alleged judicial misconduct in the case. The attorneys also asked that Polanski be sentenced in absentia. Last January, a judge ordered Polanski's return to the U.S., rejecting his previous bid to be sentenced while serving house arrest in Switzerland. Read More »

Bristol Palin took the stand today in the case against David Kernell, who is accused of hacking an email account belonging to her mother -- and then Vice Presidential candidate -- Sarah Palin. The Associated Press reports Bristol testified that she was harassed by countless phone calls and text messages after her cell number was posted online due to the hack. Kernell is not accused of making the calls. The 22-year-old is facing charges of identity theft, wire fraud, intentionally accessing an account without authorization, unlawful electronic transmission of material outside Tennessee and attempts to conceal records to impede an FBI investigation. ET has obtained the Los Angeles Coroner's case report on the suicide death of Marie Osmond's son Michael Bryan, and in it Bryan's close friend says he'd attempted suicide before. According to the report, Bryan's friend Ruthann Clawson said in her witness statement that Osmond's son had confided in her that he'd made three previous suicide attempts by hanging. Clawson said Bryan smoked cigarettes daily and was apparently a social drinker, but "was not known to have recently used drugs." (Results of the coroner's toxicology tests indicate there were no drugs present in Bryan's system at the time of his death.) Read More »

Toxicology results have been released and there were no drugs present in Marie Osmond's son Michael Bryan's system at the time of his death. The coroner found that Bryan died of multiple blunt trauma after the young man jumped from a high rise building in Los Angeles. The coroner ruled the manner of death to be suicide. Bryan was laid to rest in Utah on March 8 after passing away at age 18 on February 26. Read More »

The Ventura County Sheriff tells ET that actress Heather Locklear was arrested after she allegedly knocked over a "no parking" sign and fled the scene. According to police, the accident took place on Saturday in Westlake Village, Calif. near Locklear's home. A resident of Locklear's community heard a commotion around 4 a.m. Saturday morning but did not report the incident until the next day after finding debris and the sign that had been knocked down. Police traced the debris back to Locklear's 2005 black BMW. The sheriff tells ET that the actress was not taken into custody but given a citation. She has a court date set to take place in May. Earlier this week, a lawyer for her hubby Larry revealed that the two may not go through with their divorce after all. "There's a 50-50 chance this divorce is not happening," attorney Dennis Wasser told People magazine. "His focus is on the best interest of his children.
