Grammy Award-winning artist Mary J. Blige on Wednesday illuminated the iconic, world-famous Empire State Building to honor a special cause dear to her heart. Plus, she dishes about her excitement about headlining the Entertainment Tonight Emmy party sponsored by People magazine.

The vocal powerhouse flipped on the switch at the lighting ceremony in honor of the Foundation For the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN), an organization she co-founded.

Blige co-created FFAWN beginning in 2007 in an effort to use her personal story and success to inspire women to reach their individual potential.
