Levi Johnston Files Letter of Intent to Run for Public Office

Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's grandson Tripp, has reportedly taken further steps in his run for office.

The Associated Press reports that Levi filed a letter of intent Friday with the Alaska Public Offices Commission, the first step needed before campaigning for public office.

The letter of intent, according to the AP, doesn't say which office Levi wants to run for, but Levi told ET earlier this month that he is interested in running for mayor of Wasilla, AK -- a position once held by Palin. His run for office and parts of his personal life will be featured in a new non-scripted series, "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office."
