Beverly Hills Salon Owner Accused of Stealing Credit Card Info from Celebrity Clients

The owner of the Beverly Hills beauty spa and salon Chez Gabriela Studio was arrested Wednesday afternoon and is facing federal fraud charges after she allegedly took credit card information from her celebrity clients, charging thousands of dollars.

The United States Secret Service arrested Maria Gabriela Perez, 51, on two counts of access device fraud, charges that can carry a maximum of 25 years in federal prison. A criminal complaint alleges that Perez ran up nearly $68,000 in unauthorized charges on a credit card belonging to a high-end jewelry designer.

The website for Chez Gabriela Studio boasts that their celebrity clientele includes Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry and Cher.
