Former ‘American Idol’ Winner Fantasia Barrino Hospitalized for Overdose

Former "American Idol" champ Fantasia Barrino has been hospitalized after overdosing on "aspirin and a sleeping aid," her manager says.

Barrino's manager Brian Dickens tells ET that the 26-year-old singer is in stable condition in a North Carolina hospital following her overdose. He adds, however, that she was "heartbroken" and "overwhelmed" after a married woman filed a legal complaint accusing Barrino of wrecking her marriage.

"Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time," Dickens said.
