Man Convicted in Sarah Palin E-Mail Hacking Case

A 22-year-old former college student accused of hacking into Sarah Palin's e-mail in 2008 has been convicted on two charges in the case.

A federal jury found David Kernell guilty of unauthorized access to a computer and obstruction of justice, says the Associated Press. He was found not guilty of wire fraud. The jurors didn't reach a verdict regarding identity theft.

The AP says the conviction for obstructing an investigation can result in a maximum 20-year prison sentence.
