Dr. Conrad Murray Consents to Texas Propofol Ban
Dr. Conrad Murray, who has pleaded not guilty to an involuntary manslaughter charge in the death of Michael Jackson, has agreed not to administer the drug that killed the King of Pop.
A rep for Jackson's former personal physician tells ET that Murray and the Texas Medical Board have mutually agreed that Murray will be prohibited from administering or prescribing Propofol or other heavy sedatives.
The Board's order does not, however, restrict Murray from prescribing pain medications and local or topical anesthetics. The Board says the license restrictions will remain in effect until the criminal allegations against Murray connected to Jackson's death are resolved.
