Tiger Woods Only on Brief Hiatus from Rehab
Following his anticipated press conference that is to take place on Friday morning, Tiger Woods has plans to report back to rehab.
PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem wrote a letter Thursday explaining the timing of events to take place in the days to come. According to the Associated Press, the note reads in part: "As we understand it, Tiger's therapy called for a week's break at this time during which he has spent a few days with his children and then will make his statement before returning. Accordingly, there was very little flexibility in the date for the announcement."
The golfer will speak during a golf tournament sponsored by Accenture, the first company to drop Woods. Finchem's letter, according to the AP, said that the PGA Tour spoke to Accenture about the scheduling of the press conference and "they understand that the PGA Tour was not involved in determining the timing of the statement." He also pointed out that Woods' presser would conclude prior to the television broadcast of the tournament.
