Jackson Estate Looking to ‘Quash’ Joe Jackson’s Request for Son’s Medical Records

Legal representatives for the Michael Jackson estate are looking to "quash" Joe Jackson's request for his son's medical records, saying the records "have absolutely no relevance" to his petition for a family allowance.

ET has obtained documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court by the Jackson estate opposing the Jackson patriarch's effort to obtain the records in order to file a wrongful death action "against the people who caused his son's death."

The Jackson estate says the papers are protected by both the physician-patient privilege as well as Michael's fundamental privacy rights.
