Roman Polanski Victim Wants Director Sentenced to Time Served
Roman Polanski's victim in the director's 32-year-old sex case reportedly wants Polanski sentenced in absentia to time served.
A lawyer for the victim, Samantha Geimer, is planning to file a motion on Thursday requesting that Polanski be sentenced in absentia (while not present), and -- also on Geimer's behalf -- is supporting a motion by Polanski’s attorneys requesting that the ‘Chinatown’ director be sentenced to time served, says the Associated Press.
A hearing has been scheduled for Friday to determine if Polanski, who is on house arrest in Switzerland, can be sentenced without being present.
