Lawyer: Jon and Kate to Remain ‘Binded’ in Their Commitment to the Children

ET has obtained a statement from Jon Gosselin's attorney Mark Heller after the news that Jon and Kate Gosselin's divorce was finalized on Friday.

Heller released the following statement to ET: "While the arbitration proceedings are still a work in progress, Jon and Kate will remain binded in their commitment to their eight wonderful children. Jon is confident that he and Kate will be able to move forward in a fashion that will be in the best interest of the Gosselin family."

Kate's attorney Mark Momjian told ET earlier: "Our client will continue to reside with all eight of her children in the former marital home. This was Kate's primary focus from the very start of the case, and we are very pleased with the final outcome."
