Paris Hilton's lawyer is speaking out in the aftermath of the socialite's arrest for alleged cocaine possession. "Paris Hilton was released this morning on her own recognizance," Hilton's attorney David Chesnoff says. Paris Hilton was released from police custody in Las Vegas early Saturday morning after being arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession the previous evening. A police officer pulled over Hilton and her boyfriend Cy Waits on the Las Vegas strip Friday night after the officer smelled marijuana smoke and "followed the vapor trail" to the vehicle, which was being driven by Waits, police Sgt. John Sheahan tells the Associated Press. Later, police officers saw "a small amount" of cocaine fall out of Hilton's purse, the AP says.
