Lindsay Lohan Sentenced to Jail, Bursts into Tears

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to jail after a lengthy hearing on Tuesday. Read on for details. Judge Marsha N. Revel sentenced Lohan to 90 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation by missing alcohol education classes. She also sentenced her to a 90-day in-patient substance abuse program after her time served. Levi Johnston’s Apology to Sarah Palin: I Said Things ‘That Were Not Completely True’

Levi Johnston is apologizing to the Palin family for public statements he made that he says "were not completely true," in an effort to get past his differences with the mother of his child, Bristol Palin, and mend the rift between him and her parents, Todd and Sarah Palin. In a People.com exclusive, Johnston says, "Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true. I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize." DUI School Co-Owner Takes Stand: Lindsay Lohan Missed Nine Alcohol Classes

Lindsay Lohan remained silent at her probation revocation hearing Tuesday in Los Angeles as her alcohol education program director took the stand, testifying that Lohan had failed to attend court-ordered classes and had come up with excuses that were "endless and disrespectful." Cheryl Marshall, the co-owner of Right On Programs, Inc. went through the paperwork that noted Lohan had not been attending her court ordered classes. In total, Marshall testified that Lohan missed nine classes. Marshall said the explanations for not attending classes ranged from missing a flight out of North Carolina to jet-setting to Europe to work and promote a clothing line. Marshall said Lohan also called to excuse herself, saying that her uncle had passed away and she had to fly to New York. That following week, she testified, Lohan missed her court date and alcohol class because she was in Cannes, France. Read More »

Matt Damon celebrated the fourth of July weekend in part by participating in the Ante up for Africa charity poker tournament as part of the 41st Annual World Series of Poker held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on Saturday in Las Vegas, hosted by his 'Ocean's Eleven' pal Don Cheadle and professional poker player Annie Duke. "A lot of times you hear about problems with no solutions and I think what Americans tend to respond to are practical solutions to problems. 'Ante Up for Africa' has been able to really direct their money toward some really good projects and advocacy work," Damon said of the event. "These players, through their generosity, have donated the funds that are building the school for these kids now, so they're not just wasting away in camps with nothing to do," Cheadle explained. Lindsay Lohan Attends Alcohol Ed Class

One day ahead of her scheduled court hearing, Lindsay Lohan attended a mandatory alcohol education class. Hollywood.tv caught the actress as she was arriving and departing the court-ordered program in Glendale, California. Lindsay is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of Tuesday, July 6, and ET will be streaming live from the courthouse. Judge Marsha Revel will determine if Lindsay has abided by regulations set forth by the court system.
