Paris Hilton is speaking out after news broke that she has been detained and then cleared in an incident related to suspicion of marijuana possession in South Africa.
The heiress tweeted, "Everything is fine guys. I had nothing to do with it."
Following that she tweeted: "Hey guys, there's a lot of crazy rumors going around. Just want you all to know the truth. Everything is completely fine. I was not charged or arrested, cause I didn't do anything. I was assisting the police with the investigation and answering their questions. Everyone was super nice and friendly to me. I love South Africa! Such an amazing place, especially during The World Cup! Hope that clears everything up. Love you guys, thanks for your concern. Xoxo P."

ET has learned that Melissa Etheridge filed papers in Los Angeles Friday to officially end her domestic partnership with Tammy Lynn Micheals. In the papers, Etheridge cites irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split, and asks to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to Michaels. She also asks for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s two children -- daughter Johnnie, 3, and son Miller, 3.

Paris Hilton's rep tells ET the marijuana case against Hilton in South Africa has been dropped and claims the incident was a big misunderstanding.
"Paris Hilton was questioned today by police in South Africa on allegations of smoking marijuana," Hilton's rep tells us. "However I can confirm that the incident was a complete misunderstanding and it was actually another person in the group who did it.
"The case has been dropped against Paris and no charges will be made. The authorities have apologized for wrongfully accusing her since she had nothing to do with the incident," Hilton's rep adds.

Paris Hilton reportedly appeared briefly in court after being detained for alleged marijuana possession in South Africa.
An Associated Press reporter says the heiress appeared in a special FIFA World Cup court around midnight local time.
She said nothing and was quickly escorted from the courtroom, the reporter adds.

Paris Hilton was reportedly detained in South Africa for allegedly being in possession of marijuana. Citing two South African police officers who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the Associated Press reports that Hilton was detained in Port Elizabeth. A police spokesperson declined to confirm the name of the person detained, but told the AP it was a high profile person who would appear in court on drug charges.

After more than 10 years of marriage, Camille Donatacci filed for divorce from actor Kelsey Grammer Thursday in Los Angeles. ET has the details inside the court papers.
Under her legal name Camille Grammer, 41-year-old Donatacci filed divorce papers, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She seeks primary physical custody of the couple's children -- daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5. Donatacci is also asking for spousal support and lists June 28 as the date of marital separation.
Grammer, 55, tweeted in defense of his soon-to-be ex-wife Thursday: "Had some bad news to deal with today. I am hoping that people will be respectful of our privacy during the divorce process.
