Joe Jackson Withdraws Bid for Monthly Allowance to Pursue Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, is withdrawing his request to receive a monthly allowance of more than $15,000 from his late son's estate. The Associated Press reports that, according to a court filing, the Jackson patriarch is dropping his bid in order to pursue his wrongful death lawsuit against Dr. Conrad Murray over his son's death one year ago. The filing indicates that Mr. Jackson may renew his request for a monthly allowance in the future if necessary. ‘Melrose Place’ Star Amy Locane Charged in Connection with Fatal Car Accident

Former "Melrose Place" original cast member Amy Locane has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide for allegedly causing a fatal crash before being arrested for suspicion of DWI Sunday night in Montgomery, N.J. The 38-year-old star, whose legal last name is Locane-Bouvenizer, was driving a Chevy Tahoe at approximately 9:16 p.m. when she struck the passenger side of a Mercury Milan driven by Fred Seeman as he was attempting to enter his driveway, according to the incident report. Seeman's passenger, Helene Seeman, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Locane sustained minor cuts to her right foot and was arrested and held on $50,000 bail after responding officers "detected the odor of alcohol on defendant Locane-Bouvenizer’s breath and observed other signs of impairment." Robert Pattinson Makes Forbes List of Most Powerful Celebrities

'Twilight' heartthrob Robert Pattinson joined the likes of Oprah Winfrey, James Cameron and Beyonce Knowles on Forbes magazine's list of the most powerful celebrities, along with a number of other famous faces. The list is based off of a celebrity's level of fame and earnings from 2010. Pattinson ranked No. 50 on the list, pulling in $17 million. Oprah came in at No. 1, making a whopping $315 million, while Beyonce came in behind her with $80 million. Other people to make the list include Kate Hudson at No. 97 ($11 million), Sandra Bullock at No. 8 ($56 million), Tiger Woods at No. 5 ($105 million), Lady Gaga at No. 4 ($62 million), and Conan O'Brien at No. 51 ($38 million). Lawyer: Mel Gibson Has ‘Generously Supported’ Daughter Lucia

A lawyer for Mel Gibson is speaking out in defense of the star, whose reported rift with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has made recent headlines. Gibson's attorney Stephen A. Kolodny tells ET the latest about the custody arrangements over the star's baby daughter Lucia: "Mel has generously supported Lucia and will continue to do so. Oksana currently lives in a four bedroom, multi-million dollar house with Lucia and her older son Sascha (from a previous relationship with actor Timothy Dalton) purchased by Mel. Mel also purchased a brand new car for Oksana. He provides health insurance for Lucia and has given Oksana tens of thousands of dollars to support her and Lucia over the past months." Read More »

Sandra Bullock & Jesse James Officially Divorced

ET confirms that Sandra Bullock and Jesse James are officially divorced. The Travis County court in Texas tells ET that Sandra and Jesse are officially split. Sandra's rep also confirms the divorce is final. Sandra, who filed for divorce in late April in the wake of his marital infidelity, has made several surprise appearances at celebrity events recently. Angelina Jolie ‘Not Opposed’ to Having More Kids

Actress Angelina Jolie tells Vanity Fair magazine that she's not pregnant but admits she's certainly not opposed to the idea. "We want to make sure we can give everybody special time [in our family]. They’re kids now, and can play together, but they’re going to need a lot more talking in the middle of the night, like I did with my mom for hours," she tells the publication. "We want to make sure we don’t build a family so big that we don’t have absolutely enough time to raise them each really well." Denied: Joran van der Sloot’s Confession Stands

Joran van der Sloot has been denied his request to void his confession to Peruvian authorities in the death of Stephany Flores. The Associated Press reports that Superior Court Judge Wilder Casique rejected the motion and the trial will continue without pause. Peruvian police say Joran is a confessed killer who detailed how he beat Flores to death in a hotel room. Marilyn Monroe’s X-Rays Go for $45,000

A number of personal items from entertainment icon Marilyn Monroe went up for auction over the weekend, including her chest X-rays. ET has the details on how much the items were sold for on the auction block. Julien's Auctions sold a set of three of Monroe's X-rays taken from a 1954 visit to Cedars of Lebanon Hospital for a record $45,000. The pre-sale estimate on each X-ray was thought to be between $800 and $1,200. Monroe's chair from her last photo shoot went for $35,000, while the dress of another icon, Audrey Hepburn, went for $56,250. It was the dress Hepburn wore in 'Funny Face.' Read More »
