Elizabeth Edwards Says She Was Willing to be Step-Mother to John’s Love Child

Elizabeth Edwards told Larry King on Wednesday night that she was willing, at one point, to be the step-mother of John Edwards and Rielle Hunter's child. Elizabeth, who refrained from mentioning the name of her estranged husband's ex-mistress, said that while she's never spoken with Rielle, she has met Rielle and John's little girl, Quinn. "When John and I were together, and he was wanting to be a father -- which I admired, that he should; when he found out that in fact this was his child and he wanted to be a father, and if that were the case and we were together, I would be this child's step mother," Elizabeth told Larry. Portland Police Re-Open Al Gore Case Involving Allegations of ‘Unwanted Sexual Touching’

ET has learned that police in Portland have decided to re-open a case involving former Vice President Al Gore, in which a woman alleges that she was "repeatedly subjected to unwanted sexual touching." The news comes one week after the Portland, Oregon Bureau of Police said the case was not being pursued and that Gore was never charged due to insufficient evidence. A rep for the Gore family tells ET, "Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore. The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading, and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. "The Bachelor" star's alleged ex-girlfriend Tanya goes on the record with ET and Star magazine, on stands Friday, about her relationship with the controversial reality star. "He is a con man and he will hurt anyone to get where he wants to be," Tanya tells ET, calling his "Bachelor" performance, "extremely dishonest, very ingenuine, and extremely fake." Joran van der Sloot Indicted on Charges of Wire Fraud & Extortion

Joran van der Sloot was indicted on charges connected to the Natalee Holloway case by a federal grand jury in Alabama on Wednesday. Van der Sloot has been indicted in connection with allegations that he attempted to extort $250,000 from Holloway's mother, allegedly in exchange for information about the location of the missing woman's remains. Van der Sloot is currently in police custody in Peru, where he faces murder charges in the death of Stephany Flores. Read More »

A rep for Larry King says the iconic CNN host is "overcome by the outpouring of support" since announcing his departure from "Larry King Live." "In the wake of announcing the end of his nightly CNN program, Larry King has been overcome by the outpouring of support, kind words and best wishes from viewers, colleagues and the general public," King's rep tells ET. Elizabeth Edwards: No Plans for Divorce

Elizabeth Edwards shares more in a new interview with People magazine, including the fact that she currently has no plans to divorce her estranged husband, former Senator John Edwards. In the interview with People, she explains that although she and John separated earlier this year, "I say, 'Until you want to get married again, I don't have a need.'" John admitted in 2008 to having an affair with a former campaign staffer, Rielle Hunter, and then later denied and then admitted that he had fathered Rielle's child, Frances Quinn. On the topic of dating, 61-year-old Elizabeth, who is battling terminal cancer, tells People, "I don't see any reason to go back to that. Document: Sandra Bullock and Jesse James’ Final Divorce Decree

ET has obtained the final divorce decree of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James that states that "the parties had reached an agreement." The documents were filed in the Travis County, Texas District Court and state that both Bullock (the Petitioner, B.A.S.) and James (Respondent, J.J.G.) have "agreed to the terms of this judgment to the extent permitted by law." Bullock, who filed for divorce in late April in the wake of James' marital infidelity, has made several surprise appearances at celebrity events recently. In her first TV interview since the split from her husband -- and former presidential candidate -- John Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards talks about her cancer battle and admiration for her estranged spouse. Elizabeth, who is being treated for breast cancer, granted an interview to Matt Lauer on the "Today" show that airs Wednesday. Despite her husband's indiscretions, she wants their children to maintain a positive image of their father -- especially in her condition. "I have three living children for whom this is a father whom I want them to love, on whom they're going to have to rely, perhaps if my disease takes a bad turn.
