Michael Douglas opens up about his son Cameron being sentenced to prison for five years, telling "Today" show co-host Matt Lauer that he feels it's an "adequate amount of time."
Once facing a 10-year term, the judge ordered Cameron, 31, to five years in prison. In court, the actor's son apologized for his actions and admitted to dealing methamphetamine and cocaine. "Look, my son was a drug dealer and he’s been trying to kill himself for a while and I can’t condone his behavior,” Douglas said on the morning show. “So I think the court recognized his drug addiction as well as the crime he committed ... and the best part of it is he will be able to start his life afresh.”

“I am glad that the only person whose ratings fell more than mine is here tonight. Great to see you, Jay,” the President joked about the talk show host, who was the headlining comedian at the dinner. “I’m also glad that I’m speaking first -- because we’ve all seen what happens when somebody takes the time slot after Leno.”
Obama also made a crack at former presidential hopeful Senator John McCain. "Unfortunately John McCain couldn't make it. He recently claimed that he had never identified himself as a maverick, and we all know what happens in Arizona when you don't have an ID. ... Adios amigos," the president said, making a joke in reference to McCain's home state of Arizona ...

Polanski continues, "I can no longer remain silent because the United States continues to demand my extradition more to serve me on a platter to the media of the world than to pronounce a judgment concerning which an agreement was reached 33 years ago."
