Mo'Nique had the crowd in the palm of her hand when she hit the stage in New Orleans with her "Spread the Love" comedy tour, but the newly minted 'Precious' Academy Award winner got a case of the nerves when she got stuck in an elevator -- along with our own Kevin Frazier and the ET cameras! Moments after she closed the curtain on her first night's performance, Mo'Nique was ushered onto a crowded backstage elevator for a ride upstairs to meet and greet fans. But when the elevator stopped, what seemed amusing at first soon became no laughing matter for the comic. "Only seven are supposed to be here; we have 13, and we're stuck," said Kevin.

Oprah Winfrey has settled a defamation suit filed against her by the former headmistress of her Leadership Academy in South Africa.
Lawyers for both Winfrey and the former headmistress, Lerato Nomvuyo Mzamane, told ET Tuesday, "The two parties met woman to woman without their lawyers and are happy that they could resolve this dispute peacefully to their mutual satisfaction. Ms. Winfrey testified in her deposition that she did not intend the implications placed on her words by the plaintiff. Ms. Mzamane testified in her deposition that she has no evidence that Ms. Winfrey knowingly made a false statement about her or entertained serious doubt about the truth of what she said. We are pleased both parties have reached a conclusion."
Mzamane sued Winfrey after she was dismissed following accusations that a dorm matron named Tiny Virginia Makopo had abused six girls at the Leadership Academy, according to the ...

Former "Dancing with the Stars" finalist Kelly Osbourne is tweeting about "the most painful injury" she says she's ever been dealt. Kelly wrote on her Twitter account yesterday: "I fractured my elbow this weekend and it is hands down the most painful injury I have ever had!" She added: "To cut a long story short I was trying to stop the dogs from fighting at my mum's and managed to fracture my radial head!"

Kathie Lee Gifford has been tapped to co-host the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association's "Headlines & Headliners," the organization's annual benefit event in New York City.
The event, which Gifford will co-host with "Today"'s Hoda Kotb, takes place Thursday, March 25 and kicks off the group's 20th Anniversary celebration, which more than 300 journalists are expected to attend.
"We are incredibly pleased that Kathie Lee and Hoda are kicking off NLGJA's twentieth year working for fairness, accuracy, and diversity in news coverage," said NLGJA Managing Director Michael Tune. "While many media organizations are in a financial crisis and LGBT issues continue to garner headlines, our nation cannot afford to have journalists or journalism silenced. This benefit helps keep our voice strong."

Six-hundred-pound mom Donna Simpson says she wants to be the heaviest woman in the world, and she's getting plenty of attention for wanting to gain more weight. "I feel very sexy," she tells ET's Diane Dimond.
Already a Guinness record holder as the heaviest woman to give birth, the 42-year-old mother of two tells Diane that she's very proud of her belly because, she explains, "It's the centerpiece of my fatness." She says she is also looking to double her 600-pound frame.
"Yeah, the thought of being bigger is just more attractive," she says, but she adds that she does not recommend it for her daughter.
