Was Tiger Woods' long-awaited mea culpa genuine? Pulitzer Prize-winning sports journalist Buzz Bissinger, who wrote that recent Vanity Fair cover story on the embattled golf star, tells ET that he didn't buy what Tiger was saying today.
"I don't think he advanced the ball one inch. … It was Tiger as controlled and controlling as ever," he says.
"I rate it poorly in the sense that I don't know what it did," he continues. "I think he may have a human defect in a sense -- I mean, I think he probably did as much as he possibly could, but he doesn't exude a human warmth. … The most emotion I saw in that very staged press conference was from his mother."

What did Tiger Woods' mother Kultida Woods tell the embattled golf great after his public apology?

Sean Penn is facing misdemeanor charges of battery and vandalism.
The star will be arraigned March 22 on the two charges, Los Angeles city attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan told the Associated Press on Friday.
Mateljan said that Penn allegedly kicked a photographer in October 2009, and also allegedly damaged the photographer's camera.

In part three of Tiger Woods' public apology Friday, the golf star said he would continue to receive treatment and therapy, as well as return to his faith of Buddhism. "I owe it to my family to become a better person," Woods said. "I owe it to those closest to me to become a better man. That's where my focus will be." "Part of following this path, for me, is Buddhism…," Woods said, adding that he regularly practiced his faith since childhood until recently drifting away from it. Woods said his religion helps him to learn restraint and not give in to temptations.

Tiger Woods takes the podium to make public amends for his affairs.
In part one of his full statement, he says, "For all that I have done, I am so sorry." He also addresses reports that his wife attacked him following revelations that he had been unfaithful, saying, "Elin never hit me that night or any other night. ... Elin has shown enormous grace and poise throughout this ordeal. Elin deserves praise, not blame."

EA SPORTS, the videogame company behind the popular Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise, is speaking out about the golf great's public apology on Friday.
"It was good to see Tiger address the public today, and we're supportive of his focus toward family and rebuilding his life," said Peter Moore, president of EA SPORTS. "He remains one of the greatest athletes in history, and as a long-standing partner, we look forward to seeing Tiger back on the golf course when the time is right for him and his family."
Woods' sponsors such as Gillette and Tag Heuer have scaled back the use of the sports star's image in their advertising campaigns, while AT&T and Accenture have outright dropped Woods.
