Actress and activist Angelina Jolie on Wednesday visited survivors and met with aid workers of last month's devastating earthquake in Haiti. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) goodwill ambassador (pictured above talking to a 10-year-old boy who lost a limb after the quake) arrived Tuesday to the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince and visited medical centers and the UN mission, according to the UNHCR's Web site. The Tiffany & Co. Foundation has awarded a $1 million grant to The Trust for Public Land (TPL) and its "Campaign to Save Cahuenga Peak, Home of the Hollywood Sign." The foundation's contribution will go toward TPL's purchase and conservation of the Cahuenga Peak site, which spans 138 acres. TPL plans to permanently protect the view of the landmark sign and its surrounding ecosystem by transferring the Cahuenga Peak site to the adjoining Griffith Park area.
